Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 for the community Fourth of July celebration a the Schell City Park. It will start at 5:30 p.m. The meat and drinks will be furnished. Everyone attending is to bring a dish and their lawn chairs. There will be fireworks at dark.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the El Dorado Springs Senior Center birthday dinner Thursday, June 20. They have a birthday dinner the third Thursday of every month for those who have a birthday that month. Helen had a birthday in June. She got a free meal ticket.

Madalyn’s Kitchen held her steak dinner Sunday, June 23. She says she had a huge crown for it. He brother cooked the steak. Madalyn will be closed on Thursday, July 4, so everyone can spend the fourth with their families. She will reopen on Friday, July 5, at the regular time.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 23. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Confecit Christian” was taken from Matthew 13.

The Harwood and Schell City areas has had a lot of rain, thunderstorms, wind and hail several different days this past week. They had wind damage on Friday, June 21, with a lot of trees blown over.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages etc. The lobby is open 24 hours a day for people to get their mail out of their box.
