News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Thursday, July 18. She will reopen at her regular time on Friday, July 19.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman ate dinner at the El Dorado springs Senior Center Friday, July 5. It was Fried Chicken Friday. It is held the first Friday of every month. Different businesses and organizations in the area sponsor it.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, July 7, with Brother Jon Caudle Sr. having the sermon.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman went with some friends to the fireworks at Stockton Saturday evening, July 6. They were really pretty.

The Harwood and Schell City areas have had around four inches of rain early Friday morning, July 5 into Saturday, July 6. There was a lot of flooding at the time it was raining, hard at times.

Several form the Harwood and Schell City areas attended funeral services for Arlene Hutchison at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs Friday, June 28. Arlene and her family lived in the Harwood area for several years.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours so people can get their mail out of their box.
