Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, says that she is planning on having a steak dinner on a Sunday in August. She says she will have me put it in my news next week what Sunday she is going to have it. She says that she will be open every day in August except for Wednesday s unless something comes up in time for me to put it in my news.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, July 28. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Article 3, Baptist and Faith” message was taken from Genesis 13:27. The church will hold a yard sale and free hair cut on Aug. 10, for 8 a.m. to noon. Anyone is welcome to come.

Caden Crocker’s mom, Mandy Crocker, and brother, Caleb Crocker, his grandmother, Madalyn Crocker, and a friend, Kim Goodman, took him to the Mexican Restaurant in El Dorado Springs Wednesday, July 24, for his 10th birthday which was Friday, July 26. His grandmother, Madalyn Crocker, who owns Madalyn’s Kitchen, and his mother, Mandy Crocker, who works at Madalyn’s Kitchen, had cupcakes for him to pass out to people who ate there on Friday, July 26.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours for people can get their mail out of their box.

The weather this past week was a little cooler for a few days in the area but they could use some rain on their crops, gardens and flowers.
