News from Harwood and Schell City

Jewell and Helen Ellerman went to the birthday dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, Aug. 15. It is held the third Thursday of every month for those who had birthdays that month.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 18. Brian Hansen, of Nevada, was the guest speaker as their pastor, Mike Dunivan, was absent. Brian’s sermon was “Loving People and Not Holding Grudges Against Them.” There was 25 present for the church sermon. Brian is a member of the Harwood Baptist Church and is a Policeman for the City of Nevada.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the back to school pool party at Camp Galilee at El Dorado Springs Sunday evening, Aug. 18. It was put on by the Grace United Methodist Church of El Dorado Springs. They had a short church service and Alvin Reasoner led the group in a couple of songs and had prayer in the chapel and then they went to the pool where several were water baptized and then several swam and everyone had a good visit.
