Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Nick Van Dam sermon was titled “Drunk with the Spirit” taken from Acts 2:1-13, join us each Sunday at 9 a.m. for worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study held Tuesday 7 p.m. in Tom and Beverly Pelkey home had seven in attendance. We had a free car wash driving home in the rain.

The Memorial Day Services held at the Mt. Zion Cemetery was well attended. Services were provided by the VFW Post 11242 for Stanley Zink and R.J. Davis, all cemeteries were well cared for and decorated that I saw.

Sheri Suster, a fast recovery from shoulder surgery.

Please keep Scott Jones and family in your prayers as Scotty is dealing with lupus.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm the kids are growing and so cute; Belle is enjoying her Popsicle treats. Not many cars with the water over the road less treasures to bring home.

Mabel’s dog, Speck, has the old dogs wondering if they were that big of a nuisance, they think not.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey and Marge Zink went touring last week exploring their county. They made it to Weaubleau to get horseradish; Marge and Beverly enjoyed exploring the craft shops, the quilt shop had closed, there was a nice veterans memorial across from the craft shop very close to where the beauty shop was 50 years. We stayed on the main road enjoying dinner in Collins; I enjoyed visiting with Beverly at Buzz’s Market.

Recent visitors in the Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home were Brenda, Dixie and Howard Peterson. Brenda Peterson visited Uncle Howard and Aunt Dixie over memorial weekend. Howard and Dixie joined Kent and family for supper recently.

John and Julia Snethen decorated graves at Parks Chapel, and a small cemetery on RA Hwy. then went to the Golden Corral for dinner, on Monday. They decorated Mt. Zion with Michael and Logan Snethen stopping by the Pelkey’s on the way home. Julia finally found out where the Appleton City lakes was, she joined a group that went fishing, and Julia caught a fish but was too small to keep.
