Morning Services was by Rockville United Methodist Church was by Paige Martin entitled “Empowered;” you are always welcome to join us at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning for worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home at 7 p.m. each Tuesday evening to study the Bible; you are always welcome to join us.

Mt. Zion Club will meet June 19, for annual picnic at the Appleton City Lake lunch at noon.

Our community was sadden Sunday June 8, when tragedy according to two neighbors Phillip Bartz is missing and Daniel Price hit a deer with his motorcycle and died. Services were Wednesday June 12th our prayers to both families.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Stephanie Childress from Alabama, Stacy and Mike Griffith.

The Mt. Zion area still has plenty of water but no rain for a few days and we are enjoying vegetables from the garden.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm Belle is happy the chicken have finally came but sad Robin picked the chickens up at the post office so she didn’t get to meet the mail lady and see them first. That didn’t last long as the baby chicks are so cute to watch.

Stephanie Childress from Alabama visited in the Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home over the weekend.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey are both doing well but the car is not as they hit a deer on the way to the store but not much damage.

Had nice weather for the Appleton City fair.

John and Julia Snethen had a doctor visit on Wednesday in El Dorado Springs but Tuesday evening Julia went to the emergency room in Appleton City and spent the night in the hospital.
