FRIEND OF AGRICULTURE – The state’s largest agriculture organization recently presented state Rep. Warren Love with a 2016 Friend of Agriculture Award. The Missouri Farm Bureau presented Love with the award on Aug. 22 at the annual meeting of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau. Representative Love (left) received  his award from St. Clair County Farm Bureau President Gary Noakes, who also serves as chairperson for the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation Central Committee.

The Missouri Farm Bureau Friend of Agriculture Award is presented each year to legislators who work closely with the organization to advance policy positions that are beneficial to agriculture in the state. Because of his consistent support of legislation designed to help Missouri farmers, and his good working relationships with the county Farm Bureau organizations in his district, Love was selected by the organization as one of the recipients of this year’s award.

“As a farmer and as a state legislator who has made the promotion and protection of our agriculture industry my top priority, I am extremely honored to be recognized by the Farm Bureau for my efforts. Missouri is a state that has a long and proud history of supporting our top industry, and I am committed to seeing we continue these efforts into the future,” said Love, R-Osceola.

Love is one of several legislators recognized by the Missouri Farm Bureau for their support of pro-agriculture initiatives. Those honored receive a plaque and will be listed in the fall issue of Show Me Missouri Farm Bureau Magazine.
