During a farm tour stop Oct. 7 on the Stanton Brothers farm near Centralia, Representative Vicky Hartzler was presented the Friend of Farm Bureau Award by Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst.
The Friend of Farm Bureau Award is a joint award given by Missouri Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau Federation to members of Congress who are extremely supportive of family farmers and ranchers and have a strong voting record supporting agriculture. The congresswoman is serving her third term in Congress and during that time has earned a 95 percent voting record with Farm Bureau. Rep. Hartzler has received the award for each Congress in which she has served.
Hurst said Farm Bureau is thankful for her support for farmers and ranchers. “Farm Bureau knows we have a trusted friend in Vicky Hartzler,” Hurst said. “She and her husband, Lowell, come from a farm background.
