Care Connection for Aging Services will provide one-on-one Medicare Part D prescription and Advantage plan enrollment help in Cedar County.

Medicare Part D Open Enrollment takes place from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.

A trained Medicare counselor will offer free Part D comparisons and answer questions during enrollment counseling sessions at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center, 604 S. Forest, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 24 and Wednesdays by appointment.  Call the senior center at 417-876-5574 for an appointment.

In Stockton, Medicare Part D enrollment will take place at the Korth Center, 309 W. Englewood, from 10 a.m. to 3 Oct. 25 and other Thursdays  by appointment. Call 417-276-5306 for an appointment.

Enrollees should bring their Medicare cards and a list of current prescriptions.

Care Connection is partnering with CLAIM, Missouri’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program, to help people with Medicare concerns.

“It’s always a good idea to review your Medicare Part D during annual open enrollment because plans change every year,” said Rona McNally, Care Connection Director of Special Projects. “Our Medicare counseling services are popular in part because we are able to provide free, unbiased information. We don’t sell anything, and we do not recommend any particular plan.”
