U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, the daughter of a World War II veteran and senior member of the Armed Services Committee, today released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day:

“I join with all Missourians to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of our veterans and their families. But the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend this country and the freedoms we’re blessed to enjoy deserve more than our gratitude on Veterans Day, they deserve our action. Whether it’s helping navigate a complex VA system, or ensuring veterans of all our wars get the benefits, healthcare and honors they’re entitled to—I’ll never stop fighting for the Missourians who fought for us.”
