QUAIL PATROL – Agents with the Missouri Department of Conservation spent their Tuesday morning scanning the Wah-kon-tah Prairie northeast of El Dorado Springs for quail that they had banned. The banning is part of a multi-prairie seven-year study to determine the best habitat for quail to try to bring them back to Missouri in good numbers.
Quail are trapped and banned, then tracked with a telemetry unit.
