LIGHTHOUSE SHINES AGAIN – Miss Shannon and Miss Samantha lead the cast in morning warmups. The Lighthouse children’s theatre returns to the stage for their 11th summer season with their production of “The Elves and the Shoemaker the Musical.” First year director Jared Kouba takes the helm of a cast of 17 extraordinary area youth. The best-selling children’s play has been musically revitalized with the playful and eclectic tunes of Bill Francoeur. Filled with delightfully wacky characters — including elves Mortz, Schwartz, Hazel, Gracie and Studebaker, this familiar tale is laced with clever dialogue to make audiences of all ages smile. You can always count on Bill Francoeur to compose a score that will make you want to sing along as you put on your dancing shoes.

Join us Friday, June 8, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. or Saturday, June 9, at 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at Mid Missouri Bank for $7 or from our Lighthouse players for a reduced cost of $5. Tickets will also be available at the door. The performance will offer a donation-based snack bar during intermission. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enjoy a wonderful performance and support our local youth.
