October is National Protect Your Hearing Month

Experience Hearing Center, LLC invites you to coffee and doughnuts while Nationally Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, Richard Leroux (la-roo) explains the causes of hearing loss and how to prevent it, Friday October 19 at 8:30 a.m. at the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, 1303 S. Missouri Hwy 32, El Dorado Springs, MO.

“Richard will also explain how there is a direct relationship between our hearing and brain function,” says Michelle Leroux, co-owner, Experience Hearing Center, LLC.  “Simply put, we hear with our brains, not our ears, and studies have shown a hearing loss increases the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.”

Richard Leroux, B.S., BC-HIS is also a CaptionCall Provider.  During the October 19 presentation Leroux will introduce the CaptionCall phone, which is designed specifically for people who are not able to effectively use the phone because of a hear loss.  It’s available at NO COST for individuals who have been medically identified to have a hearing loss.

“The CaptionCall phone displays captions of what your callers say on an easy to read touch screen and boasts powerful amplification and custom audio settings to help you hear everything you can on the phone,” says Michelle Leroux.  “Individuals can have a better experience on the phone, which means being able to hear loved ones on the other end of the line during the holidays.”

There is no cost to attend the presentation, but pre-registration is requested.  Call Experience Hearing Center at 417-667-5566 to reserve your seat for coffee and doughnuts with Richard Leroux, B.S., BC-HIS.
