Sac-Osage Quilt Shop Hop and quilt show

Eight area quilt shops are gearing up for the 10th Annual Sac-Osage Quilt Shop Hop. This year the event will be Thursday, May 31, Friday June 1 and Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. A quilt show well be held featuring quilts made with past Shop Hop blocks at Church of The Springs, 220 N. Main, El Dorado Springs. The public is invited to visit the show and vote for their favorite quilt. One lucky person will win a gift basket valued at over $200 of quilting supplies for People’s Choice award.

To join in the shop hop, start by going to the closest shop and picking up a passport. Have your passport stamped at all nine locations to quality for a chance to win one of three shopping sprees valued at #240, #160 and $80. A quilt block is designed by each shop owner and block kits can be purchased for a small fee. There will be a sample quilt on display at all eight shops of their variation of putting the blocks together along with finishing kits while supplies last.

Participating quilt shops are Brenda’s Quilt Stop and more on Hwy. 54, DbarJ Quilts etc. in Rockville, Material Matters Quilting Shop in El Dorado Springs, Nine Patch Quilt and Fabrics in Nevada, Rocking Chair Quilts in Butler, Blue Top Quilt shop in Lamar, Margie Pear’s Fabrics in Bolivar and White Flower Quilt Shop in Clinton.
