On Thursday, Dec. 14, during halftime of the varsity girls’ basketball game, the ElDo CTA will sponsor their first ever Cedar County Teddy Bear Toss.

The cost of admission for both basketball games will be a new stuffed animal. At the beginning of halftime of the game, we will have a countdown ending with spectators throwing their animals down onto the court simultaneously. At that point, both ElDo and Stockton cheerleaders will cooperatively collect the stuffed animals.

Bags of stuffed animals will be presented that evening (by the cheerleaders) to representatives for MO Highway Patrol, Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and DFS. Representatives (who are planning to be present at the game).

We’d like to do a very quick appreciation applause and “blurb” for the above mentioned representatives, while explaining that the animals will be given to children who are being removed from their homes.

Pup Squad will then come out and perform. Events will be advertised in ElDo newspapers, Stockton newspaper, KESM and The Lake, and Facebook. The Cedar County Teddy Bear Toss will be added to Pup Squad fliers going home with students.
