Herriman Chapel Camp, located at 2800 S. 1001 Rd. El Dorado Springs, is celebrating its 91st anniversary with Matt Lee, of Overland park, KS, as evangelist. Celebrations begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 29, as The Calvarymen, a southern gospel quartet, ‘kick off’ Camp 2018. This free concert will be held in the tabernacle. A traditional Camp meetin’ dinner, prepared by awesome cooks, Sharon Kramer and Coleen Taylor, will follow in the dinning hall.

Sunday evening, an Old Fashioned Gospel Sing is planned as the Herriman Chapel Camp Reunion Singers will again bring a Celebration of Praise at 7 p.m. Many of the best voices in this area will be a part of this choir and special groups. Great gospel music will continue throughout the week with special music starting each evening at 7 p.m. Home made ice cream and cake will be served following the service.

All kids ages 3-12 are invited to attend Victory Camp. This special time for kids will start at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, July 30 and continue through Friday, Aug. 4. The theme for Camp Victory 2018 is “Rip Roaring Ride on the Wings of Prayer.” Bible stories, music, arts/crafts, games and prizes will be a part of this fun time for kids. While the children are learning more about how God answers prayers; parents, grandparents and friends are invited to attend the morning praise and worship service then join the children for lunch.

“Overflow in this place, fill our hearts with Your love, You’re the reason we came to encounter Your love” are lyrics from the song “Here as it is in Heaven,” and will be the theme of the youth service Ignite! Jonathan Petrie, John Scroggins and Kristin Markle from The Hill-Stockton, worship leaders, invite area youth and children to join them in the Chapel for this service that is planned to start Monday evening, July 30. This service begins immediately following the evening evangelistic service. Six young people gave their hearts and lives to Jesus in Camp 2017 Ignite! We are expecting more exiting testimonies from Ignite! 2018.

Matt Lee, of Overland Park, KS, will be the evangelist. He will be preaching in the 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. services.
