Spencer, Andy 1 1cc

Andrew “Andy” Franklin Spencer, 45, El Dorado Springs, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Andy was born on April 17, 1971, in Cedar County Memorial Hospital, the son of William “Bill” Spencer and Hazel “Lucille” Henderson. He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School.

Andy lived in his own apartment in El Dorado, a fact of which he was very proud. He enjoyed spending time at home watching various game shows and listening to the radio. Andy enjoyed visiting on the phone daily with his good buddy, Gina. He regularly attended church, a habit which was instilled in him by his Aunt Minnie, who he loved very much.

Andy was a baptized Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed every Wednesday night and Sunday morning church service, and he had a wonderful church family. Andy was always ready to give a handshake, and at times, a little too strong of a shake. He worked for many years at Quality Products in Nevada where he made lots of friends.

Andy was a happy person and was always happy to give you a whistle and call you his good buddy. He will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in death were his father, William Spencer, and his aunt, Minnie Spencer.

Survivors include his mother, Lucille Clemmer; his uncle, Ab Spencer, and numerous cousins and friends.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, in Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Johnston officiating.  Interment will follow at Pankey Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. A visitation was held Wednesday, June 8, from 6-7 p.m. in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kasey Bland, Daniel Bland, Tim Fisk, Kevin Bland, Randall Chambers and Robert Hite.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital and left at the funeral home.
