Chad Henry Masten, 46, was born Aug. 15, 1970, and passed away on Jan. 18, 2017.

Chad attended El Dorado Springs High School in El Dorado Springs and graduated with the class of 1988. Chad was an avid sports fan.  He loved to play and watch all kinds of sports.

Chad served in the United States Army where he was a medic. He was stationed in Germany and served during Desert Storm.  While he was in the Army, he developed his love of travel.  He was always reading travel books and studying places  he wanted to visit. Chad was a certified scuba diver and loved to travel to places where he could dive or just be near the water.  He was able to travel extensively during his lifetime.  He visited many places around the world including Germany, Italy, France, Central America and many places within the United States. He had a special fondness for the Phillipines.  Everywhere he traveled he made lifelong friends.   

Chad is survived by his loving family:  his mother, Twila Masten-Bell of Seiling, OK; his two sisters, Marlis Calkins and husband, Steve, Taloga, OK, and Alexa Bell-Young and husband, Adam , Stover, MO; two nieces, Shelby Calkins and Diamond Donnell; three nephews – Chase Calkins, Tanner Bell and Lane Donnell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
