Cheryl Rowena Berry, 69, formerly Myers died unexpectedly at her home in Jerico Springs, on Saturday evening, Oct. 15, 2016.

Cheryl was born on Nov. 22, 1946, in Kansas City to George and Anna Lee Myers. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1964.  She married her sweetheart, Denzil  Berry, on May 16, 1966. Over several years the couple welcomed four children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Cheryl was accomplished and often taught others.  She was a generous, witty and dedicated individual who loved Jesus and who was passionate about changing the world to be a better place. She was an active and dedicated member of The Victorious Living Church in Filly and often volunteered to help others.  Cheryl was much loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Anna Lee Myers, of Jerico Springs. Her children are Steven Berry and wife, Parkville, Brett Berry and wife, Liberal  and Daniela Thornton and husband of Diamond, Mo.   Her brother George D. Myers Jr. and wife, Joplin. Lee Ann Boyd and husband Jerico Springs, and brother Leland Myers and wife of Kansas City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Berry, and infant son, Kurt Berry.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m Thursday, Oct. 20. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. The family would like to thank caregivers/hospital staff/etc. for their efforts/care/dedication.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to be given to The Victorious Living Church Widow’s Fund. In care of the Sheldon Funeral Home.

Sercices will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, in Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, under the direction of Bonnie Berry.

Music: “Good Good Father,” “Trust In Jesus” and “Come To The River.”

Casketbearers are Jacob Berry, Tim Berry, Trei Berry, Austin Turner, Rickie Berry, Corey Turner, Kai Brown and Kyle Broksieck.

Interment is in Zion Cemetery, Jerico Springs.
