Harold Daniel Stoll, 65, El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home on Thursday night, Nov. 9, 2017.

Dan was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Cedar County the son of Leonard A. Stoll and Bernice L. (Bilderback) Stoll. Dan went to school in El Dorado Springs until his junior year when the family moved to Sedalia.

Dan joined the Army on Feb. 7, 1969, and was stationed in Korea.

Dan married Lena Kay Smith on May 26, 1978, and they had two children. Dan married Brenda (Reeder) Cumpston on March 21, 1997, and they had one child.

For many years Dan did carpentry and auto body repair work until his health no longer allowed him. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and teasing them.

Preceding Dan in death was his father, Leonard.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of the home; his mother, Bernice Stoll Degraff, of Clinton; three children – Ok-hajo-sate Stoll of Guthrie, OK, Travis (Monica) Stoll of El Dorado Springs, and Brendan (Vanessa Eslinger) Stoll of El Dorado Springs; grandchildren – Jade Stoll, Tyler Stoll, Nicholas Purviance of Crescent, OK, Megan Stoll, Jay Stoll, Bently Stoll of El Dorado Springs, Cody Beisley, Trey Beisley of El Dorado Springs; and siblings: Mike (Celeste) Stoll of Puyallup, WA, Sandy (Bill) Stoneking of Clinton, Scott (Cathy) Stoll of Columbia, and Tracy (David) Lee of LaHarpe, KS.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 13, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Burial followed in Clintonville Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Kenneth Reeder, Jack Reeder, Mike Reeder, Jim Reeder, Kevin Bland and Daniel Bland.

Memorial donations may be made to VFW Post 257 and left at the funeral home.
