Harold Julian, 88, of El Dorado Springs, passed away on May 21, 2018, with family by his side. Harold was born in June of 1929 in Cedar County the son of Arthur Julian and Lucille (Sumner) Julian. He spent his childhood growing up on the farm with his brothers, Junior and Tommy. He lost his mother at the age of five and was raised with the help of his grandmother, Eliza Jane Julian.

After graduating from El Dorado Springs High School, Harold met the love of his life, Fay Cargill, and the two wed on April 15, 1951. Harold and Fay were blessed to spend 51 years together and raised two children, Beverly Ahring and Rick.

Harold worked at Black Sivalls and Bryson and AT & T in the Kansas City metro area as a tool fabricator and mechanic.

Following his retirement, Harold moved back home to El Dorado Springs where he enjoyed living on the farm, spending time with family, playing cards and visiting with friends at the Senior Center.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Beverly; son, Rick; grandson, Jason (Sara) Ahring; two great- grandchildren, Caleb and Audrey; brothers, Tommy, John (Bert), and Junior Hunt; sisters, Patti Alexander and Carolyn (Dennis) Storbeck; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brothers, Junior Julian and Harold Hunt.

Services were held on Saturday, May 26, in Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Harold was laid to rest at White Hall Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Brad Leonard, Darin Leonard, Chris Julian, Jared Julian, Mitch Julian, Brian Chism and Riley Julian.
