Judy Coleene Rinker, 66, returned to her heavenly home the morning of Sept. 16, 2016. We are sure that the heavens shook with her praise and rejoicing. She battled cancer briefly and although she did not win that battle, she definitely won the war knowing she was going home to be with the Lord. She sustained only the peace and comfort that God can provide during her illness. She continued to spread the joy, love and word of the Lord throughout her battle, as she did all her life.
Judy was born to the late Floyd and Irene Sparks in Stockton on Oct, 23, 1949. She was the younger of two beautiful daughters of the Sparks. Her sister Shirley Mick, also preceded her in death. They lived on the family farm until the early 70’s when the Stockton dam was built. She loved life on the farm and was blessed with a rich heritage of faith.
She always joked that Bear Creek ran through her veins. She and her husband, Tony Rinker, owned a farm with Bear Creek running through the back of the property. She was truly home on this farm. There they raised South African Boer goats and had horses, greyhounds, a cat and chickens. She had a love for animals and the outdoors.
Judy worked various jobs throughout her life but was a floral designer and entrepreneur at heart. She spread her talents to many surrounding area floral shops, designed weddings and was always finding ways to share beauty and health over the years. She was a Mary Kay director when she was younger and was involved in many supplement providers. Most recently she was a Plexus Ambassador. She also held a position at the local Post Office in recent years where she brought joy and laughter to her position.
Her greatest passion though was sharing the word of God. Although she was not ordained, she brought the joy of the Lord to all those she came across. She never met a stranger and always had a joyous smile. Over the years she has been part of multiple bible studies and praise and worship groups. She was a true beacon of God’s light here on earth and a spiritual warrior.
Judy is survived by her husband, Tony; daughters -Sharla, her husband, Chris, and their three sons -Anthony, Austin and Alex; Gina, her husband, Kevin, and their four children – Alexis, Kayla, Austin and Baylee; and Danella, her husband, John, and her three sons – Freddie, Kris and Daniel. She was also blessed with two daughters and a son through her marriage with Tony – Nicol, her husband, Josh, and their son Carson; Amanda, her husband, Marty, and their three children – Brendon, Makena and Addison and son, Cody, his wife, Amy, and their daughters, Isabella and Letty. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends. She was a pillar of strength, unwavering faith and blessed all those that knew her with unconditional love. We will miss her God stories but will continue to honor her walk of faith.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, in the Stockton Assembly of God Church with Gary Bryant officiating. Tonyia Landry and Teresa Stone will sing “I’ll Fly Away” and “I Go To The Rock.” Jeanette York and Sharla Wilkerson will sing “Amazing Grace.”
Final disposition was cremation. Interment will be in Lindley Prairie Cemetery, Stockton, under direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. www.sheldonfh.com.
