Larry Dean Brown, a.k.a. Bub, 65, passed away with his family at his side at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City April 1, 2017. Larry was born March 6, 1952.

Larry lived in El Dorado Springs all his life and graduated High School in 1970. After graduation, he worked as a surveyor for a year. In 1972, he went to work for Harold Fugate at Fugate Motors as a mechanic and worked there until his passing.

Larry was an outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing with his family. His passion was restoring old guns. He enjoyed participating in the black powder shoots.

Larry married Linda Ann Keith on July 21, 1972. They were married 27 years and stayed close. To this union were two children, Larry Dean Brown II, and Lindsey Ann Brown and two grandchildren, Michael Dean Brown and Grace Ann Stoviak.

Preceding Larry in death were his father, Ray Brown; brother, Michael Brown; maternal grandparents, Russell and Mable Speight; paternal grandparents, Glen and Georgia Brown.

Survivors are his mother, Dorothy Brown; children, Larry Dean (Julia) Brown, and Lindsey Ann Brown; grandchildren, Michael Dean Brown, and Grace Ann Stoviak; friend and mother of his children, Linda Brown; brother, Ronnie (Nancy) Brown and sister, Glenna (Les) Ray; his closest friend, Jim Widner – Adrian; and niece, Lori Norbury – Nevada. They were with the family at his side until the end. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Larry’s wish was to be cremated. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
