Maude Marie Blodgett, 82, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, at her home in El Dorado Springs. Maude was born a triplet on Aug. 12, 1935, in Stockton, to Earl and Jessie (Weig) Bishop. She was united in marriage to Archie Lee Neal in 1953 and he preceded her in death. She later married Harold Blodgett and he preceded her in death.

Maude was raised in Cedar County and attended school in the Stockton area. She lived in Cedar and Vernon County her whole life. For a time Maude worked at the Mitchell Hotel. She then began working as an aid at the Nevada City Hospital and later worked at Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City. She loved to sew and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, John Neal and his wife Kim, El Dorado Springs; Harold Neal, El Dorado Springs; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, James Bishop, Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to Archie and Harold she was preceded in death by her parents; 14 brothers and sisters; recently preceded by her twin sister, Myrtle Morris, in 2015; two grandsons, Chris Neal and Jesse Neal; and one granddaughter, Shaeleigh Neal.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment will follow in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.  Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
