Oma Lee (Biggs) Beshore, 88, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness.  Oma, one of 12 children, was born April 3, 1930, in El Dorado Springs to Jacob Samuel and Eula Margaret (Julian) Shaw.

Oma grew up in El Dorado Springs and attended school here. She worked as a seamstress at Key Work clothes in Nevada for many years and then at Nevada State Hospital in Housekeeping for nearly 20 years until her retirement in 1989.  Oma resided in Vernon County all of her adult life.

She was a member of the Nevada Assembly of God Church. Oma enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, traveling, and was active with Nevada Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three children – Bessie Carpenter (Merle), Stockton, E. Viola Brooks (Glen Yokley). Milo and Lillian Brower, Nevada; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Rena Shaw, El Dorado Springs; numerous nieces and nephews and two step-daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loran U. Biggs Sr.; parents; one son, Loran Biggs Jr.; three brothers; and seven sisters.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 24, in Deepwood Cemetery, Nevada, with Pastor Bill Miles officiating.

Memorials may be made in her memory to Nevada Senior Center in c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
