Robert “Bob” Gail Tschanz, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at his home in Nevada. He was born on Aug. 21, 1931, to Henry Tschanz and Lydia Herndon in Vernon County.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen (Gresham) Tschanz, of the home; his children – Jeannie Miller and husband, Jim, of El Dorado Springs, and Marilyn Cooper of Galveston, TX; grandchildren – Dusty, Jessie, Steth and Matthew; great-granddaughter, Abby; sister-in-law, Lucille Tschanz of El Dorado Springs; and nephew, Russel Tschanz of Denver, CO.

Bob graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1949 and served in the army from 1953 to 1955. He married Helen in February 1956. He worked for the Shoe Factory in El Dorado Springs for 15 years and then for the Walker Hwy Dept for 24 years, rising to the rank of maintenance supervisor.

Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, sports and his farm, where he was born and lived for eighty-five years. He was a much loved man and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 30, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Rev. James Coleman officiating. Interment followed in Lefler Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Matthew Miller, Brandon Barker, Dale Stark, John Hallam, Glen Hays and Rick Newman.
