Roger Dale Scoggins, 64, passed away March 26, 2018. Services were held at First United Methodist Church of Stanton on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Roger was born on March 15, 1954, to Calvin and Shirley Presley Scoggins in Stanton, TX. He served in the US Navy from 1973 to 1983 then working as an electrician after his discharge from the service. He enjoyed playing golf, helping the elderly and attending submarine conventions.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Scoggins; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Henry Webb; his brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Lois Scoggins; nephews – Phillip and wife, Nicki and their daughter, Jaiden; Kyle Beckman and daughter, Rheonna; Jimmy Beckman and wife, Angie and their daughters, Emma, Sage and Sydney; niece, Stephanie, and her son, Nickoli and daughter, Zoe; grandsons, Trey Barger, Jaime Toliver and Jenny Cheek; great-grandson, Tanner Barger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Scoggins, and his grandson, Tanner Barger.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards the Class of 1972 of Stanton High School, Audrey Brown, Chipper and Jo Coggin, Bubba Standefer, Carla Hill, Jackie Swanson, Lyn Porter,  Barbara and Earl Dickenson, Hicham and Jackie and Bobbie Henson.
