Russell Glenn McGraw, 55, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Jan. 9, 2017, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1961, to Loyd L. McGraw and Lois M. (Toepher) McGraw. Russell was a graduate of Walker High School. After high school he went on to trade school to be a mechanic and a welder.
He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with family and friends.
He worked for the City of Nevada Parks Department for seven years, then worked at Murphy Family Ventures for 15 years.
On April 4, 1991, he was united in marriage to Teressa Huckaby. To this union one child was born, Catherine (Katie).
Russell is survived by wife, Teressa, of home; one daughter, Catherine (Katie) of the home; parents, Loyd L. and Lois M McGraw; three brothers – Vernon and wife, Misty, Leroy and wife, Janet and John and wife, Julie; four sisters – Glenda Gersham and husband, Darryl, Lela (Sissy) McGraw, Vanita (Nina) McGraw and Shela Cameron; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A service was held Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Church of Christ West 54, Nevada, with Dennis Sitton officiating. Music was “Old Rugged Cross,” “Amazing Grace,” “My Little Girl,” “Hello Darling” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Casketbearers were Mike Mullaney, Jeremy Cameron, Tony Marshall , Jacob Cameron, Anthony Biby , Jon Jean, Patrick Williams, Nathan McGraw, Travis Leonard, Michael McGraw and Steve Huckaby. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, under direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
