American Bass Anglers Division 126 will hold a qualifying tournament Saturday, April 29, on Stockton Lake, launching out of Old State Park. Registration will begin at the ramp at 5 a.m. with a safety and rules briefing at 6 a.m. followed by partner pairing. Weigh-in will begin shortly after 3 p.m. at the launch site.

D126 is a “draw” tournament. Boaters and non-boaters from age 14 are encouraged to enter. ABA membership is $25/year; tournament entry fee is $70/angler. There is also a $10 Big Bass option pot and a $5 – 50/50 option pot.

Anglers are fishing for cash, prizes and points which qualify them to fish the D126 two-day Stockton Lake Championship scheduled for June 24-25. To qualify for the Championship, anglers must have fished a minimum of four (4) one-day ABA tournaments held on any lake in the US. There is a schedule of upcoming events that can be found at www.centralmidwestbass.com. There are several upcoming tournaments in the area that will allow new members to qualify for the Championship.

Anglers are also qualifying for a National Championship to be held on the Ouchita River at Monroe, LA, Oct. 18-21, 2017. More information about this tournament can be found at www.americanbassanglers.com.
