It was a slow bite for keepers on Stockton Lake December 15, 2018. Twenty-one American Bass Anglers launched from Old State Park at 7:30 a.m. looking for 15” bass. Weather was cool, about 32o with a light north wind. Air temperatures warmed into the 50’s with a bright sun and the wind died.

Brandon Rummel took the win with a good solid limit weighing 12.44 lbs. Justin Angel scored second place with a 5-fish limit going 11.16 lbs; Austin Lowrey was 3rd with 10.72 lbs. Big Bass weighed 4.87 lbs. caught by Gary Lower. Anglers reported catching fish on jerkbaits, crankbaits and jigs. Most bites came in the morning.

This was one in a series of tournaments all to be held on Stockton Lake. Anglers are fishing for cash, prizes and points which will qualify them to fish a 2019 Championship to be held in June of 2019 and then a National Championship on Eufaula Lake, AL, Oct. 13-18.   The next D126 tournament is scheduled for Feb. 16.
