Dains Fish Farm

We still have a lot of people trotlining. They are still using the big brown carp for bait. They are hoping to catch the 91 pounder’s big brother. So far I’ve heard reports of 20 to 25 lb. catfish which is a good fish if you didn’t know about the 91 lb. fish.

I had a couple who was going to use the big brown carp for trotlines and they were rod and reel fishing with gold fish. They said they were still catching some big blue catfish on the gold fish. They are the same couple that I weighed the 55 pounder for a couple of weeks ago and they said the size they have been catching is comparable.

Over the weekend, the river came up about a foot and a half and it got really good, then it kinda dropped. I’d say with all the rain we got it’s going to come up again. I really expect it to turn on again. It seems like that is good news for the fishermen.

R&R Sporting & Tackle

Some are catching fish.

Last week a guy came in and said he was catching them on rod and reel. But I heard some of them were catching some real nice ones on trotline. All in the Osage.

The rod and reel guy is fishing with shad and worms. The trotliners are using perch or goldfish.
