Herman Eugene Ellison, 77, El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home Oct. 10, 2014. Herman was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Mammoth Springs, AR, to Thelma and Vic Ellison.

Herman married Rosie Parker on Oct. 11, 1958. To this union one son was born. They were married 56 years.

Herman worked for Haven Steel Company for 25 years. He was a hard worker. He loved car racing, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and playing cards.

Preceding Herman in death were his parents.

    In his youth, Ray was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he attained their highest ranking of Eagle Scout. He attended high school in Kansas City.

    Gene M. Hunt, 60, Nevada, passed away Oct. 7, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Gene was born June 2, 1954, to Jimmie Raymond Hunt and Mary Elizabeth (Lake) Hunt.

    He went to school at Stockton and lived around Stockton most of his life.

    Edsel LaVere Shellhorn, 88, left this world to be with his beloved wife, Ethel, on Sept. 29, 2014. He was born on Jan. 22, 1926, near Jerico Springs, to Jesse C. and Maggie (Hicks) Shellhorn, the eighth of nine children. He passed away in Cedar County Memorial Hospital, El Dorado Springs, following a massive stroke.
