Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Kasey Beaton was taken from Acts 10:44-48, l John 5:1-6 and John 15:9-17.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was on vacation last week; but back to normal this Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home to study the Bible; all are welcome.

We welcomed the rain this past week; sure made the grass and plants grow. I am sure you could have seen the corn growing in the fields if you would have watched.

June Marshall has been out and about last week.

Visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Kent and Mitchell Crawford. The Petersons visited Brenda Peterson in Richmond on Sunday.

    Nice warm day for a hunt

    Being such a warm day, the cats are enjoying it. There is lots of hunting going on.

    Patty Vaaca, Doug Wingate and J.D. from Nevada came Thursday afternoon and visited with Tex McKinley and Dora Jean. Tex helped Doug with a problem he was having. We had a lot of laughs, helps a person feel better.

    Speedy recovery for Roger Schiereck

    Several from the Harwood area attended the memorial service fro Russell Morerod at the Schell Christian Church Saturday morning, May 9. Doug Reynolds, of the First Baptist Church at Schell, and Roger Beach, of the Christian Church at Schell, had the service.

    Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25. She will reopen on May 26.

    Madalyn's Kitchen closed Sunday, May 10 and Memorial weekend, May 23-25

    Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, visited Jewell and Helen Ellerman Monday, April 29. They planted their flower bed and put out a couple of tomato plants.

    Russell Morerod, of Shell City, passed away Thursday evening, April 30. He grew up in the Harwood area. He was the son of the late Shurley and Toots Morerod who lived in the Harwood area most of their lives.     Always pays to check the gas gauge

    While I was done being sick, I don’t know what happened. All my cats gained weight; I think Tex had something to do with it. He spoiled them very much. The cats are very glad for the good weather. They all hunt everyday. They come back with a lot of good victims they have found.

    News from Harwood and area

    Connie Locke was an overnight guest in the home of her dad, Ben Locke, at Nevada Thursday, April 23. She had surgery on Wednesday, April 22.

    Martha Radspinner, who lived at Harwood before moving to Laquey to live with her daughter, Kate, passed away Thursday morning, April 23. She was 95. Graveside service was held for her Saturday, morning, April 25, at Lefler Cemetery near Harwood.

    Another busy week in Arthur

    Another busy week for Tex McKinley. Bob Wingate took his Farmall tractor home. He has been trying it out. Bob said it runs very good. Tex was glad to hear that.
