Mt. Zion Club will meet Dec. 17, to celebrate Christmas in the Beverly Pelkey home for an all-day meeting; don’t forget your secret pal and they will be revealed.

    Thanksgiving in Harwood well had

    Several from the Harwood community attended the free Thanksgiving dinner put on by the Harwood Baptist Church Monday evening, Nov. 24.

    Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Nov. 30, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary and Gayle Dunn, Joe Dunn and Matthew Morrill.

    Peggy O’Brien of Grandview was a Thanksgiving dinner guest in the home of her mother, Ruth Ijams. She visited with her sister, Jeanie O’Brien.

    Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Nov. 16, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary and Gayle Dunn, Gayle’s granddaughter, Elizabeth Green, and Matthew, Anne Schnize joined them for dinner.

    Ruth Ijams’s son, Joe, from Texas, returned home Friday after spending a few days with her. He was here deer hunting. His friend from New Jersey was also here to deer hunt. He left for home on Thursday.

    The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women met Wednesday, Nov. 12, for their regular monthly meeting at Madalyn’s Kitchen. Those present were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Madalyn Crocker, Ruth Ijams, Sharon Sterling, Rhonda Knerder and Carleen Wilkinson. Helen Ellerman, president, conducted the business. She gave the devotion taken from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Matthew 24:29-35. Pastor Locke read from the prayer calendar and had prayer.     Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Rhonda Knerder had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen Monday, Nov. 3. They had been at the Schell City United Methodist Church basement getting ready for the Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women rummage and bake sale that was that coming weekend.

    Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Nov. 2, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Ruth Ijams.

    Naomi Medearis, sister of Frances Lewis, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30. She had lived in Kansas for several years. Graveside service was held for her at the Greenlawn Cemetery at Schell City Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1. Pastor Connie Locke did the service.

    Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards visited Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday afternoon, Nov. 2.
