Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor David Souza entitled “The Journey of Faith” from Genesis 2: 1 and Hebrew 11: 8.

Pastor David Souza is moving to Texas and our new pastor will be Kasey Beaton from Appleton City. Her first sermon will be April 13 at 9 a.m. We invite all to come and welcome her.

Mt. Zion Bible study was held in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey at 7 p.m. where nine were present to study the Bible and fellowship. You are invited to join us.

    Sympathy to Connie Locke family

    Connie Locke’s mother, Gloria Locke, Nevada, passed away Monday night, March 31, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center. The church and people in the area extend sympathy to the family. Graveside service was held for her Friday, April 4, at the Deerfield Cemetery.

    Peggy O’Brien of Grandview spent the weekend in the home of her mother, Ruth Ijams. She visited with her sister, Jeanie O’Brien.

    The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women met at Madalyn’s Kitchen Wednesday evening, March 26. Those present were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Madalyn Crocker, Ruth Ijams and Sharon Sterling. President Helen Ellerman conducted the business meeting. She gave the devotion taken from Jeremiah 2:4-13. Pastor Locke read from the prayer calendar and had prayer. President Ellerman read from Response. The prupose of UMW was repeated in unison.     Marilyn Entrikin had lunch with friends after church at Pizza Hut. Yummy. She had to scratch a hole in the ice on her windshield before she went.

    Betty L. and Marilyn E. had breakfast at 54 Café on Saturday. Being very busy, Marilyn had lunch with Mary Leer at Moore-Few Friday. Marilyn does her share of visiting with people that need her. They enjoy her coming to see them and doing things with them.

    TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)

    TOPS CHAPTER 0319 El Dorado Springs met in the Church Of Christ meeting room on Thursday, March 13.

    Dorothy called the meeting to order and Kay led us in singing “ROCK OFF THE POUNDS”. We then said our pledges and had roll call.

    Twenty-four weighed in today and the chapter had a net loss of 5 lbs.
