Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, April 17, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien and Ruth Ijams.

Connie Locke visited her father, Ben Locke, at Nevada this past week.

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, April 17. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon, “Deep Impact” was taken from John 10:22-30 and Acts 9:36-43. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson, “A Sound Mind” taken from Luke 8:26-36.

Church sermon was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 17, with Brother Caudle Jr. I was unable to get the sermon etc.

    Doug Wingate took Tex McKinley and Dora Jean for a doctor’s appointment this week. We had a good trip with a lot of laughs. Craig Summer and Jon Olson stopped by. E.J. Wingate and Malore came down to our house. They were together riding the Allis Chalmer. We were surprised to see them. Nothing like the two of them riding the tractor together with the wind blowing in their hair.

    Second place at fishing tournament

    Tex McKinley and Dora Jean had a friend, John Pilcher, stop by to see them. Recovering from surgery from being sick, it was good to see him.

    Marilyn Entrikin’s son, Kenny, called her last night. He and a friend had been to a fishing tournament in Florida. They got second place so they were happy. They will try for first next year. They got like eighth or ninth last year. Marilyn E. said her yard was mowed for the first time on Friday. That

    Marilyn Entrikin is getting just over a case of Bronchitis.

    Scott and Brittany and their youngest boy came by on Friday. Good to see them.

    She had a quiet week. She played bingo and volunteered at NRMC. She had lunch with friend, Janie, at Rodeo Grill on Monday. She ate lunch with friend, Lu, at White Grill on Thursday. A hamburger and susies, of course.

    March United Methodist Women update

    The Schell City/Harwood United Mdthodist Women met Wednesday evening, March 23, at 4 p.m. at Madalyn’s kitchen. Those present were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Madalyn Crocker, Ruth Ijams and Sharon Sterling. President Helen Ellerman conducted the business meeting. She gave the devotion taken from Isaiah 50:4-9. Pastor Locke read from the prayer calendar and had prayer. The purpose of UMW was repeated in unison. The president read from the response, “Day of Giving.” It was about eight women who got together at Tremont Methodist Episcopal Church
