Search warrants yield stolen property, drugs

Cedar County deputies spent Saturday, June 1, serving simultaneous search warrants in Cedar and Dade counties in connection to a burglary which occurred Friday, May 24, on 1973 E. 1000 Road.

Investigator Kevin Lowe led several Cedar County deputies to execute a search warrant on the residence of Zachary A. Robinson, 21, and Misty Mace, 33, 16745 S. 1300 Rd. in Stockton.

The warrant allowed deputies to search for a number and variety of tools, television, guitar, air compressor, prescription medication, household items, jewelry and coins stolen from the address on 1000 Road. At the same time the search warrant was executed in Cedar, one was taking place in Dade County related to the same burglary on a residence at 22 Dade Apartment No.3 in Arcola where Dylan M. Sehr was believed to be.

    State lawmakers aim to arm teachers, lower age for concealed carry permits

    VFW to host Memorial ceremony

    VFW Post 257 will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery located in the northwest corner of town.

    People to vote on protecting right to farm

    Invasive zebra mussels found in lake at Schell-Osage Conservation Area

    Biologists have found zebra mussels in a lake at the Schell-Osage Conservation Area. Zebra mussels are an invasive species from Eurasia that can cause ecological and property damage.

    A Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) crew conducting a fish study found small zebra mussels attached to a stick on Monday, May 6, said Tom Priesendorf, a MDC fisheries management biologist.
