The Missourians, best known for their tight harmonies, up-beat concerts, soul touching songs and love for Jesus Christ, have scheduled a concert for 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Park Street Christian Church in El Dorado Springs.
The group, based out of Joplin, is comprised of five talented musicians and singers who have a true desire of spreading the good news to people of all ages and locations. While their roots are in Southern gospel music, the Missourians have developed a unique blend that combines Southern gospel with a more progressive sound. The hallmarks of the group’s sound are their lush arrangements, close-knit harmonies and powerful vocals. The group’s versatility makes them a favorite among young audiences and older music lovers alike.
Over the past 20 years, the group has recorded a total of 13 albums and two videos with their latest project, “No Boundaries.”
The Missourians have shared the stage with such greats as Gold City, Brian Free and Assurance, Ivan Parker, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and others. The group hosts a weekly radio show call “Make Mine Southern.”
Everyone is welcome to attend the concert on Sunday, Oct. 21. There will be a free-will offering taken. The church is located at 1307 S. Park.
