LAST YEAR’S WINNERS – Frank and Ida Lambrecht, representing Fugate Motors, took top honors at the 2011 Spring City Revitalization Group’s Chili Cook-off. This year’s competition will see a return of a team from Fugate Motors as well other winners from years past. This year also brings a host of interesting specialty vendors.
Set up for cookers and other vendors starts at 9 a.m. Chili judging is at 11:15 and public tasting is scheduled for 11:30.
Tickets are available at Alli’s Floral and Gifts, the El Dorado Springs Sun, Mid Missouri Bank, Heritage State Bank, the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and from Jennifer Bland. Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the gate. The ticket price gets you a bowl, spoon, drink, entertainment in the Park and all the chili you can eat.
Earlier that morning, the Wayside Museum will serve biscuits and gravy from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The 44th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair opens in the Old Community Building at 8 a.m. and runs to 3:30 p.m.
