Dains Fish Farm

Bobby and Sharon went crappie fishing over the weekend in Big Clear Creek and caught a few 10 inch ones. They were fishing with black and chartreuse jigs.

Trotline has kind of slacked off a little bit now. For the last two weeks we have had campers doing pretty good. They got two flatheads and six blues running between 15 and just under 30 lbs. They were using gold fish and bullheads and they do clip off the spurs.

I’m closed for the season. They quit running water.

I gave the information you provided on historical preservation to another guy who is working on it. He said he has it under control.

I’ll let you know when we find out something.

R&R Sporting & Tackle

Fishing is pretty good.

My cousins went to Taberville and went down river. Fishing with worms and shad on rod and reel, they caught one that weighed 61 lbs. and another that went 50 some.

A guy reported that someone put out a trotline and out of 32 hooks he caught 18 fish.

My brother and some guys went down to Warsaw to my uncle’s place and caught eight or nine blues. They were fishing below the bridge.

A guy said he caught 7 or 8 crappie the other day.

I killed a turkey, a little hen. I chased her down. We were playing peek-a-boo. She weighed 9-13 lbs.
