Cleola Mae (Wilhoite) Beydler, 88, El Dorado Springs, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2012, the birth date of her beloved husband. She resided with her daughter in Peculiar for the last few months of her life. Cleola was born on Jan. 4, 1924, in Linkville, the daughter of Bryan and Maude Wilhoite.
She graduated from Jerico Springs High School in May of 1942. Cleola then attended and graduated cosmetology school and worked as a beautician. She married in 1946 and became a homemaker for her husband and two children. When the children left the home, Cleola became an assembly worker at Western Electric in Lee’s Summit and retired to El Dorado Springs in 1985.
She enjoyed reading, crappie fishing with her husband and the fellowship of family and church members. Cleola was known for her willingness to help others and for the strength of her Christian beliefs. She was a member of Park Street Christian Church in El Dorado Springs for 25 years.
Cleola was married to Paul Preston Beydler of Jerico Springs for 63 years. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters – Rosemary, Veleda and Mildred Ann – and her granddaughter, Joy.
Cleola is survived by her son, Paul; daughter, Terry; grandson, Matthew; granddaughter, Kelsey; step-granddaughter, Dala; and great-grandsons, Logan and Nicholas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Pastor Larry Daniel officiating. Interment followed in Brasher Cemetery, north of Jerico Springs off Hwy. 97, under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Paul Beydler, Greg Beydler, Randy Beydler, Matthew Rardon, Dee Skeeters and Kent Harvey.
