A baby shower was held for Kayla (Newman) Loyd at the El Dorado Springs Community Center Sunday afternoon. It was hosted by Susan Thompson, Debbie Jensen and Wendy Conley. Attending besides the honoree and hostesses were Lauren Monte, Alberta Hays, Sherry Brugerman and Hannah, Jamesetta Newman, Katie Budd and Brice, Trista Winter and Evan, Neoma Foreman, Kerri Loyd, Carol Teagarden and Kathy Newman.
Alberta Hays and Pat Willis attended an Order of Eastern Star Grand Reception at Rolla Saturday evening.
Friday morning, Bob and Jane Hutchison and Bill Hawkins attended graveside services at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery for their 98-year-old cousin, James Collins.
Visiting Bob and Laura Clinton this week were Emily and Jennifer Davidson, Jeff and Jodee Fanning, Tracy, James, Corbin and Declan Washburn, Kent and Julie Gardner, and Bob Lee and Lavina Clinton.
Having lunch with Bob and Jane Hutchison Saturday were Arlene and Mike Good and Rilie, Bobby and Karen Hutchison and visiting in the afternoon were Debbie and Denny Wallace.
Roberta Light of Belton visited her sister, Kathleen Covington.
Hosting a Walker 4-H Hayride Saturday evening was Jennie Dunckley, Jesse and Madison, and her parents, Lance and Lynn Hays. Attending were Christi Mitchem, Forest and Shiloh, Kelli Redburn, Emily and Allison, Logan and Jerricho Jonker, Judah, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Salem and Phoenix, Crystal Burch, Kate and Cole, Tim Bruce, Dalton and Hadley, Hannes and Heather Trytsman, Johnnie, Maggie, and Jess and friend Payton, Niaya and Kasen Talbert and Shawna Horn and Hannah.
Christine and Corey Graham spent a few days visiting her children and families in Ohio.
Sunday, Bob and Jane Hutchison visited with Jim and Jeanne Ogle and Jim’s sister-in-law and friend from Alaska.
Carter and Brooklyn Foreman visited us Friday afternoon. Brooklyn spent the night Saturday.
John Allen Simrell spent a week in Nebraska working with a construction crew.
Jenise Burch and Jered and Crystal Burch watched Cole Burch make his first touchdown at the football game Saturday. They also attended Kate Burch’s last volleyball game of the year.
Mandy Bronson, Memphis and Nash visited Bob and Jane Hutchison Sunday afternoon.
Charles and I attended the German Fest at the Lutheran School in Prairie City Sunday.
Rachelle Hurley is home from the hospital and recovering from surgery.
The NEVC Junior High Basketball Tournament will be at Hume Nov. 6-10.
The first NEVC varsity basketball game will be Nov. 27 against Weaubleau at Walker at 5:30., Nov. 29 at Ballard at 6 p.m.
