Thanksgiving service planned for Nov. 18

Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Nov. 11 were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien and Ruth Ijams.

Pastor Connie Locke and Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the Cluster Change Conference at the Oakton United Methodist Church near Lamar Sunday afternoon, Nov. 11. There were several United Methodist Churches from the Southwest District there. Lawrence and Gina Cripps from the Horton and Metz Churches were there.

Several from the area attended the Veteran Program at the NEVC grade school at Schell City Friday morning, Nov. 9.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Nov. 11 with Brother Cliff Bennett.

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday morning, Nov. 11. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “Second Time Around” was taken from Hebrews 9:24-28 and Mark 12:38-44. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “Paul Sails For Rome,” taken from Acts 27:1-2 and 33-44.

TheEcumenical Thanksgiving service will be held Sunday evening, Nov. 18, at the Schell City United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. A meal will be held afterwards across the street at the Baptist Fellowship hall with everyone invited.
