Ann Hackleman Fender, 52, Springfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Ann was born Oct. 19, 1960, in Humansville, daughter of Roy E. and Charleen (Groves) Hackleman, of El Dorado Springs. She grew up on the family farm southeast of El Dorado Springs and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1979.
As a teenager, she worked at the Dairy Maid and after graduation worked at First Savings. Following a move to Springfield, she worked at Boatman’s Bank and later at Schultz & Dooley, Bumsteads and Battlefield Lanes.
Survivors include: brothers – Ed (Kathy) Hackleman – Cornwall, PA., Ray Hackleman, Milwaukie, OR and Kent Hackleman – Soldotna, AK; nephews – Jeremy (Emily) Hackleman – Cornwall, PA, Jason Hackleman – Portland, OR and Tyler Hackleman – El Dorado Springs; nieces, Cheri Ard – Snohomish, WA, and Rachael Watkins – Fountain Hills, AZ; and great-nephews, Andrew and Tyler Hackleman – Cornwall, PA, and great-niece, Trinity Zurfluh – Snohomish, WA.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs with Rev. Jack Daniel officiating. Interment followed in Hackleman Cemetery, southeast of El Dorado Springs under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Casket bearers were cousins: Jeanne Ray, Dana Mudge, Dan Hackleman, Gene Walden, Gary Walden and Cat Rinehart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hackleman Cemetery.
