EL DORADO SPRINGS POLICE REPORT

In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Nov 5 – Arrest: John R. Gruber, 33, El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warrant charging him with the Class C felony of burglary and stealing with a bond of $25, 000 cash or surety. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Officers obtained and served a search warrant for 1013 South Park. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Cammy D. Bailey, 39, El Dorado Springs, on the probable cause of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance. She was released pending charges.

Nov 6 – Arrest: Robert L. Larue, 50, Stockton, on an active Cedar County warrant charging him with pursuing, taking, killing, possessed or disposed of wildlife Illegally with a cash only bond of $125. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Officers responded to a reported assault at 408 East Walnut. A suspect has been identified. Investigation continuing.

Nov 7 – Officer responded to a reported larceny at 112 Winner Rd. Investigation revealed the theft of a silver bag with a picture of a girl and the words Super Model on it, containing approximately $310 in cash, a birth certificate, several prescription medications, three bags of makeup and a bracelet. Investigation continuing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to call the El Dorado Springs Police Department at 417-876-TIPS.

Nov 8 – Officer responded to a reported larceny at 601 East Joe Davis. Investigation revealed the theft of an electric meter. Iinvestigation continuing.

Officers responded to 109 West McCrary concerning a fugitive from justice. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Steven A. Horning, 29, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County felony warrant charging him with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of theft/stealing of any firearm, four counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of harassment with a cash or surety bond of $25,000 and, an active Dade County felony warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana with a cash or surety bond of $5,000. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance. Officers also arrested Nathaniel J. Pettit, 21, El Dorado Springs, charging him with obstruction – hindering prosecution. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Arrest: Christine R. Roper, 29, El Dorado Springs, charging her withpossession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia with a cash or surety bond of $5,000. She was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance. This arrest was the result of officers obtaining and serving a search warrant concerning drug activity on Nov 2 at 810 East Joe Davis.
