Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor David Souza was entitled “Live Expectantly-Live Thankfully” from Mark 13:1-8.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Joela Dains home with 10 present. At 7 p.m. Tuesday evening we will meet in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home. Each Tuesday please join us to study the Bible.

The Mt. Zion Club met in the home of Beverly Pelkey for their regular meeting Nov. 14. Eight ladies spent the afternoon binding quilts and tacking quilts. Roll call was a favorite pet. The hostess served delicious refreshments. Officers were elected for 2013. December meeting will be on the 19 at the Christian Church in Appleton City. We will make lap robes and have our Christmas party.

Our sympathy to the family of Louise Greggs whose son Bill died Friday. Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. Had a surprise call from the North Pole. Mrs. Santa asked me to put in the items that Mr. Santa would like. He wants to invite everyone to join him at the Rockville United Methodist Church from 2-5 p.m. Dec. 9 for stories and pictures with Santa. You are invited to our holiday meal at 6 p.m.

Howard and Dixie visited the Crawford Deer Camp Saturday night. Clyde Keith was a Sunday visitor. Dixie enjoyed being a passenger on the OATS bus to Windsor. More fun riding than driving.

Saturday dinner guests in the Stanley Zink home were Mike and Stacy Griffith and girls of Blairstown.

Happy birthday to Tom Pelkey. Seems everyone in the neighborhood is celebrating birthdays, so is Ruth Allison. Weekend visitor in the Pelkey home was Gregg Pelkey of Springfield.

June Marshall didn’t let the closing of B Hwy. or YY Hwy. keep her at home. June just opened the pasture gates and drove to the road. June did spend a couple of days working in the art room and managed to get her usual shopping and errands done. Peggy Baldwin spent the weekend.

Shella Akers spent the weekend in Kansas City. John and Julia Snethen did the usual of staying home. Julia did attended the Clinton and Buffalo installations over the weekend.
