The Cedar County Public Facilities Authority will sell approximately $4,820,000 in Public Facilities Authority Revenue Bonds this week. The Bonds were authorized by a Resolution passed at the County Commission meeting on November 13. Proceeds of the Bonds will be used to finance a portion of the cost of acquiring, equipping, and constructing the Cedar County Jail Project.
The facility will be located in Stockton, adjacent to the County Courthouse, on a site selected for this purpose and includes approximately 14,516 square feet. The building will house 56 beds, the Sheriff’s Department, County Communications and appropriate support facilities.
The Bonds will be made available by the Cedar County Public Facilities Authority to interested buyers through the underwriter, Country Club Bank. Interested parties may contact Country Club Bank: 800-288-5489 or 816-751-1410 (Ask for: Josh Kiefer).
