Was a nice day to attend the Christmas in the Country in Appleton City. All the neat crafts, all the more reason not to throw anything away. Those ladies can take anything and make it pretty and useful. Old window frames, old pot and pans, the wooden toys puzzles, old bed springs, the beautiful jewelry and candy, beautiful fabric art. One little box even had a swan curved for a door knob. And all the visiting with all your neighbors and friends. It was an all-day event. Touring the beautiful decorated homes and churches, can’t forget the potato bar.

June Marshall has been busy as usual. Went to the doctor got a good report. Harold and Claudine Battmer came by and June accompanied them visiting relatives and friends. Other visitors have been Marge Zink and Patricia Stark.

Stanley and Helen Nixon went to Haysville, KS, for late Thanksgiving dinner with daughter, Nancy, and girls.

John and Julia have been running around this past week. Julia went with Cheryl Farrell to get her hair cut on Thursday in Nevada and they did some shopping. Friday, Julia visited with Tom and Beverly Pelkey while Button got groomed. Friday afternoon they stop by Joe’s in Rockville and then on to Appleton City for some much needed groceries, gas and a stop at the dollar store before heading home to spend a relaxing weekend.
