Early foul trouble lead to a long night for the Lady Knights. Two of the five starters for NEVC had two fouls in the first quarter and one starter had three. By halftime of the game there were four starters with three fouls.
Coach Jeremy Barger said, “As the coach, I need to do a better job of getting these girls prepared to play good defense so we do not commit so many fouls. Anytime you have the foul trouble we had with our starters, at any level, that will in some way effect the outcome of the game.”
