As Event Coordinator for the 2012 Christmas Parade of Homes, I would like to congratulate the home owners on a successful event. Their beautiful decorations and hard work were appreciated by 110 ticket purchases that raised over $1,000 for the Preserve Our Past Society (POPS) and the Chamber of Commerce. A big thank you to all who purchased tickets. We received many compliments and requests already asking about next year.
Thank you KESM and the STAR for the press releases and coverage on the news, Kimball Long for taking all of the photos before the event and doing a great write up in the El Dorado Springs SUN to help promote and sell tickets, and Becky Groff with the Cedar County Republican for driving over and taking photos for a news article. Thank you Jackson Tough, Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce, for writing the press releases and distributing them. Vicki Hillsman and Terri Heinrichs from Brower Real Estate with cookies and ticket sales.
Thank you to our hosts/hostesses-Jack & Donna Ellis, Dawn Thurlo, Jerry & Rhonda Friar, Roger & Angie Hensley and D’Ette Eaves. They had “helpers” at each home that I would also like to thank- Winnie Burrow, Betty Beason, Dalena Gordon, Kim Sewell, Dick Ray, Logan & Ashleigh Friar, and Sharon Young. Also, a big thank you for our refreshment donations: Sonic, Kim Sewell, Dr. Cathy Frier, Cary Poore Chambers, Chamber President Janna Dody, Farm Bureau Insurance Agent Miranda Taylor, and Kay Sewell (as well as the home owners).
And last, but definitely not least, my special friends who helped decorate, encourage me and transform our home-Allison Shinkle (Alli’s Floral) and her mother, Cindy Louderback, and Cary Poore Chambers.
