During the 2012 Missouri firearms deer season Nov. 10-20, hunters statewide checked 204,668 deer. Of those, 87,368 were antlered bucks, 27,143 were button bucks and 90,157 were does.

The high counties in the state were Howell – 4,037, Texas – 3,916 and Benton – 3,756.

St. Clair County hunters topped this area with 2,761 deer harvested: 922 antlered bucks, 415 button bucks and 1,424 does.

Vernon County hunters were next with 1,806 deer: 596 antlered bucks, 303 button bucks and 907 does.

In Cedar County, hunters checked 1,725 deer: 636 antlered bucks, 239 button bucks and 850 does.
