Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made three arrests and took a stealing report during the week of June 18-25, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

Harley Wilkerson- On June 25, Harley, Wilkerson, 26, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. This is a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to 14th Street in Collins in reference to a possible overdose.

Upon arrival, the deputy observed Wilkerson lying on his bed in his residence while Collins Fire Department was checking his vitals. Wilkerson stated he was fine and refused medical treatment. While the deputy was in Wilkerson’s bedroom, he observed a clear zip lock bag with a white crystal like residue and a syringe. The zip lock bag field tested positive for methamphetamines.

Cecily Griffen- On June 25, Cecily Griffen, 27, Independence, was arrested by a St. Clair Count y deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. This is a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were called to a location to assist agents from the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Upon arrival Conservation Agents had three suspects standing outside of a vehicle. The St. Clair County deputy was asked to pat down the two female subjects. During the pat down, a glass pipe was found on Griffen’s person. She admitted to it being hers and that it was used to smoke methanphetamines.

John Allen- On June 22, John Allen, 23, Osborn, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on an Andrew County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of a class A misdemeanor driving while revoked or suspended, class B misdemeanor exceeding posted speed limit by 26 mph or more, and a class B misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. Total bond is set at $3,000 cash only

Statue Stolen From Collins

On June 23, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to SE 550 Road in Collins in reference to a stolen statue.

Upon arrival the deputies spoke with Florence Sobol. Sobol stated that someone had stolen a 200 pound Ku Wan statue from the end of her driveway between 3-8 p.m. on June 23. Sobol estimated the value of the statue to be $400.

Evidence was collected from the scene and a request for prosecution was filled out. A suspect has been named.
