NEVC Art Class performed “Furry Tails” at the Ag Building at the high school Campus Wednesday evening. It was a delightful evening for those attending.

Gilbert and Eleanor Willson attended their granddaughters, Brianne and Claire’s, Christmas program Tuesday evening at Archie and on Thursday evening, Kelsey and Emily’s Junior-High basketball games at Archie.

Betty and Norman Radde went to the Bourbon County Shrine Club Christmas party Saturday night in Ft. Scott and went to the Christmas program at Community Christian Church Sunday.

Suzanne Prough and Danielle McWilliams spent Sunday afternoon with their grandmother, Elnora Wallace. They made peanut butter and chocolate fudge, turtles and peanut brittle.

Walker Seniors Citizens met at the Walker Community Building for their monthly dinner Tuesday. They meet the first Tuesday in each month.

Madyson and Mason Majors spent Saturday night with their grandparents, Bob and Linda Majors, and went to church with Linda at Schell City Sunday where they were joined by their parents, Brad and LouAnn Majors. Other guests Sunday afternoon at the Bob Majors’ home were Chad and Jenny Majors, Alexia and Maleia.

Mike and Kathy Newman babysat their grandchildren, Jared Witter and Ethan Loyd, on Saturday evening.

Glen and Alberta Hays went to Plato for an Official Reception on Friday Night and then went on down to Branson that night and then the next day went to another Official Reception in Hollister. They then had their 2013 Grand Family Christmas Party in Branson Saturday night at Sadie’s Sideboard Restaurant on 76 Boulevard (good place to eat). They all had a very good time and enjoyed visiting and playing games.

Christine and Corey Graham spent Sunday afternoon with Charles and me and we made Christmas candies and cookies.

Thursday at noon, Bob and Jane Hutchison met his family in Nevada for lunch. They were Don Hutchison and Roberta Wagoner of Nevada, and Marvelene and Johnny Trower of Shawnee Mission, KS. Friday, Bobby and Karen Hutchison of Walnut Grove came and visited Bob and Jane and Sunday afternoon Debbie and Denny Wallace visited them.

A wonderful Christmas program was presented at the elementary campus of NEVC at Schell City Tuesday evening. On Wednesday evening, plays were presented by the seventh grade and Art class at the Ag building at the high school campus in Walker. The young people showed much budding talent. The seventh grade performed “Once Upon a Hundred-Years*Nap” by J. M. Wolf. The Art Class put on a tangled fairy tale called, “Furry Tails” by Jennifer Hiskoh EuFratis. Both were directed by Kathleen Day.

Members of the Coal Creek Helping Hand Club met at my home Tuesday for our Christmas dinner and gift exchange. A $65 donation was given to the local Salvation Army, and it was agreed not to have secret pals next year, but to give to different charities instead.

Jerry and Jenise Burch went to Texas for a short visit with their daughter and family, Laura and Josh Willson, Jackson and Reid.
